Brown Eucalyptus

I have very little gardening knowledge so hoping someone can advise me on what I can do or if this is normal. Thanks

You can try cutting it back until you reach viable growth - that's a good way to keep them anyway, because they want to be huge trees eventually. If it's still alive, it should start to recover and produce fresh foliage. It may not have survived though.
Many people grow them as pollarded, multi stem specimens as that gives the best look with the new foliage.
I can't see the main trunk very well though - there seems to be an odd arrangement low down on it? The trunk looks as if it has, or has had, some damage? If so, that could have made it weaker to start with.
