Compost worms

Do you leave them in the wheelbarrow or chuck them back on the heap? Compost is heaving with worms and destined to be mixed with peat free to be put in containers. I've just been chucking the fat ones back. Hope the robin was watching 👀

I chuck then back if I find a knotted handful.

Defo I'd put them back, you're making your own worm castings. Believe they self regulate population wise, so you've no need to worry you're over populating your compost bin.

Nice to know I'm on the right track. I literally have a couple of compost heaps. No bin. I suppose it means worm immigrants find a welcome.
