We were discussing that a few days ago too @KT53, and I said the same. Much as I didn't really enjoy the F.Tophill show, her garden is about the average size many people will have to work with. Not everyone has the facility for storing endless amounts of stuff.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

nor the budget. Why can't they just make something which is fit for purpose?
I'm afraid I lost a large portion of my seedlings and wasted money and time using peat free and I won't be doing it again.
I don't have the time to waste or the money so as someone that has never been on an aeroplane in my life and only drives ten thousand miles a year max, I'll continue to use peat compost and stock pile it until the industry that is supposed to support my business, stops wasting my money and time and does its research and provides us with a DECENT alternative with no guilt whatsoever when my carbon footprint is so very low.
Same here @purplerallim, I have just re-sown runner, and edamame beans, as most of the first sowing rotted off. I used rootrainers as usual. Something else I noticed when I bought more at the weekend, the bags were very warm, as if the contents were fermenting, and in line with other conversations, we are suffering shrinkflation with compost too. The bags were only 40 litres instead of the usual 50. Commercial bags where I volunteer are 70l.
