Identify tree

MaSamMaSam Posts: 22
Can someone identify this little tree that has sprung up in our garden last year, please? It seems to be fast growing. So not sure if I should leave it where it is. Would help to know what kind of tree it is. Thanks!

It looks a lot like prunus suckers. Is there any kind of cherry or similar nearby (maybe on the other side of the fence), or the stump of one that's been cut down?
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

Ok. We have an edible cherry tree nearby, but also lots of trees on the other side of the fence.
