Sedum division
I have 3 sedum that I absolutely should have lifted and divided by now. They are way too crowded. Would you still do it now, or leave them to it this year?

They are very robust. They are succulents, which means that they can hold on to water and remain detached from their roots for ages.
Split them any time. Leave them a while, it doesn't matter. Replant them when you are in the mood. You could also take bits of stem as cuttings and they root quickly.
I practice a technique known as the "Chelsea Chop". Cut off the top 6in of say half the shoots; now, or during the forthcoming flower show, they will flower late and prolong the display. You can at the same time root the cuttings.
There are not many easier plants to begin the practice of propagation.
