Weather moan

I'm in the NW and it has been so grey, wet and windy. It's so depressing!
My cosmos still seem to be doing well in the unheated greenhouse....but everything else is soooooo slow.
Please let May bring more sunshine then I might actually germinate something decent in there 😆

You have my sympathy. I lived in the NW for eight years and waterproofs were essential. But what a beautiful part of the world it is.

The weather here in Gloucestershire is carp at the moment too.  Yesterday was warm and sunny.  Today is overcast with occasional rain.  I just want a few consecutive dry and breezy days to make the ground easier to work.

It's been the same in the NE.  Personally I've found  previous bright but very dry springs more troubling than this years weather. Hopefully though we get plenty of bright weather going forward into May though.

The last 3 springs here we've had increasingly hotter and drier heatwaves so this one, with cooler weather and more rain, is a pleasant change altho we still need a lot more rain to make up for the literal shortfall of this last winter.

Speaking of rain. It’s not as grim as I first thought looking at the last 12 months’ volumes….
