Chillis

Hi everyone 🤗
The free chilli seeds I got with my magazine are growing on windowsills in my house. I have 8 in total.
I don't have a greenhouse but I do have a cheap plastic zip up cold frame thing from Wilko's.
I read on the website to move the chillis outside in May after all risk of frost has passed, and that they can go into grow bags. Are those the rectangular flat grow bags that tomatoes go in, or the cylindrical ones that potatoes go in?
Do the plants need to be in full sun?
Should I harden them off in the cold frame thing before putting them completely outside?
If I get grow bags should they sit on a tray or directly onto the ground?
Thank you so much!! xx

the flat grow bags for tomatoes is what they mean. I tend to cut them open and transfer the contents into pots for chillis - a bit more depth and easier to handle but that's just my choice.
yes, full sun
yes, harden them off
they don't have to be in a tray but you may find it easier - just be careful they don't end up drowning if the tray fills with water when it rains

I ♥ my garden.
