Brussel Sprouts

I've grown these Brussels from seed but they're skinny, spindly and falling over - what am I doing wrong?

They need more light and cooler temperatures. 😊

Ditto! But this happened last year and when we moved them into the polytunnel they responded better and then once transplanted out we had the best sprout harvest we had had for decades. Don't give up.

You can plant them deeper in the pots or when you put them in the ground.  They need to be firmed in very thoroughly.

If your soil might be slightly acid, a light dressing of granulated lime could help.

I would pot them on right up to the first leaf. They will then last a couple more weeks before they need to go in the bed. Like previous comments when you eventually put them in the final bed they really need to be firmed in. I stand on the area around mine with my size 10's.
