Newly Landscaped Garden - Marestail Nightmare!!

Hi, we had our garden landscaped a few months ago and have a border to the side with some trees/plants. It appears that the bed was filled largely with topsoil (the same that was used as the base for our turf). I have noticed A LOT of weeds sprouting up as well as the dreaded Marestail. Is there anything that can be done to hold the landscape company to account. We had a bed there previously which did get its share of weeds but never had any issues with Marestail. Also, as the same soil was used under the turf, what are the chances this will sprout in the newly laid grass? Any advice is welcome. Thanks - Laura

It won't matter if it sprouts through the grass as it won't survive being mown regularly. Just keep hoeing the border to keep on top of the weeds or apply a sterile mulch or weed barrier on top to suppress them. If the marestail isn't established then you can get on top of it easily enough with just manual removal.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
