Box Tree Caterpillar Damage

The caterpillars absorb toxins from the box tree so that birds etc that would usually take them find them unpalatable, although locally another moth-er says she has a robin taking them.  I have been inundated with the moths this year, although I do not have box tree someone local must have.  They come to the light trap and I also find them in the greenhouse for some reason.  I drown them in a jam jar  half filled with water and washing up liquid.

I found shaking the bushes in the evening quite effective as the moths soon scarpered.
