Brown droopy rubber plant
Help! We've just come back from a few days away to find our rubber plant looking terribly sad. It lives in a west-facing conservatory, having previously lived in a south-facing window for 15 years, then six months in a north-facing window while we rented, and it's been in its current home for a month.
I watered it before we went away but I think it looks like a combination of over-watering and too much sun/heat.
OH immediately watered it before I could check the soil, so I'm not sure how dry it was, and tbh the soil doesn't feel terribly dry, though it's impossible to get a finger down very far. The leaves are not crisp, even though they are brown.
I'm thinking that the conservatory might not be the best place, especially as we aren't always here.Since it's been in the conservatory we have been more diligent about watering it, but now I think we shouldn't have. When it lived in a south-facing window it was often left for weeks without watering as we weren't actually living in the house for quite a lot of the time.
Ignoring that it needs repotting, what should we do with it?
Thanks for any thoughts!
