Container Fan Palm Going BrowN

I bought a fan palm in a container last year, and all through last year it seemed happy. Now that April has come around the leaves are all looking green. What should I try?

@andrew.r.sanderson Welcome .The leaves are all looking brown I guess? Where are you in the UK? North / South.Outdoors many tender plants have suffered from wet followed by cold.I am not sure what the roots should look like but someone else might. If the whole plant is brown it may be dead.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

The basic European Fan palm - Cham. humilis - is usually considered the hardiest for the UK but even these will have a limit.
You don't say where ( location ) or how ( growing medium ) you kept it other than in a container so it is rather difficult to offer any useful advice.  You mention the leaves going brown but is the growing tip/centre still alive ?
The hot, dry summer last year followed by the wet/freeze/wet winter period has proved fatal to many plants this time. Cold winds will also take their toll.
Perhaps if you could give a bit more info and also post a pic, it may help people to get more of an idea of the problem  :)
