Blue Strawberries - really?

I don't believe this, am I wrong?

Just curious if there is such a thing, there's also rainbow coloured ones on Amazon.

It must be breaking 'mis reputation' laws.

They do not exist. Nor do rainbow coloured roses, whose seeds are still sold on Ebay.

    It's a common occurrence on t'interweb.
Many people must fall for it though, as they seem to appear on a regular basis.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

It breaks all kinds of rules and laws but seeds are still sent out from China en-masse for random plants that don't really exist.
Kind of related though; Asda had some lovely blue orchids for £10 yesterday. I know they're dyed but they really did look beautiful.

Not seen the blue orchids, though I have seen a bouquet of amazing coloured carnations.

The scam must be worth it, think I might have some shocking pink polka dot hollyhock seeds for sale next year!  ;)

The carnations etc dyed with blue or viridian ink are horrible. The dyed orchids are gross too.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

But when the plants reflower (if they do) the next year, people are upset not to get blue flowers again. It is so wrong to manipulate people into thinking they are giving/recieving a new coloured plant when it has been dyed.

This kind of thing is rife. Cactus with fake flowers stuck on to them, spray painted heather, plants forced to grow then put on sale at a totally unsuitable time of the year.
It's all part of the learning process, but a shame people are profiting from it.

They looked like these but the blue was a bit more subtle and natural looking.
