Shrub for Identification Please

Hi,

I've recently moved into a new property and have a number of trees, shrubs and plants that are new to me. Could anyone identify this for me please? It's currently about two feet tall, but I've no idea how long it's been in for. The flowers are 1.5 - 2 inches in diameter. Leaves are up to two inches long, reddish colour around the edges too.

Many thanks

David

Looks like a Japanese Quince (Chaenomeles japonica).

Was going to say the same thing, beaten to it!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Brilliant, thank you both  :)

Now to find out how to look after it!
