Makeshift cloche

The croissants were lovely and now the container is protecting seedlings as a makeshift cloche:

I wish I could garden all year round!

    I do something similar - my daughter occasionally buys little fairy cakes or similar in those boxes. I bought some recently too. It's a bit smaller than yours, but the same principle.
    I use them for seed sowing of half hardy plants in the house. Very handy  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Me too,  no need to buy all the fancy stuff, lots of ‘make do’s’ around. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    Agreed.  Opportunist salvage becomes a religion after a while.
  • I tend to put similar containers out for recycling. Perhaps not so in the future. Thank you for the ideas. :)
