Growing from seeds
Hi,
I have a couple of questions about growing from seeds. I purchased a couple types of seeds over the weekend along with growing trays (45mmx38mm), 7cm and 10cm pots. I’ve seen people use the trays then transplant into the pots, but I’ve also seen people plant multiple seeds of the same plant straight into the pots. My questions are:
1. Is there a reason to choose to plant in trays first?
2. Do you have to slowly increase the pot size or would it go tray then small pot then when strong enough pot/ground outside?

Any tips would be super helpful! (I am only growing flowers at the minute).

As you'll see, it's a big and often complicated subject!
It often depends on the plant you're growing due to some not liking being transplanted. Many are sown in trays, then pricked out and put into small pots to be grown on until big enough to go outside. The timing is important too, as you'll see in the thread.
Take a look, and if there's anything you're still unsure of, just ask again.

The more info you can give when asking for help always makes it easier too
