    I have turned/trimmed  your pic .
    I would wait till winter.
    Then  completely remove the green side branch  which coming from below the graft.

    I agree with @Silver surfer re the timing of taking off the sport below the graft, if that's what you intend. It's not an ideal time of year when it's growing away so well.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
