  @Sheila Allder Not my subject but I do know there is one called Big Daddy with white flowers. Some are scented too. Not so big but lovely is Hosta Krossa Regal. Pastures New has dark purple flowers but is small. I guess there will be a large leaved form too.
  Flowers are white/ Lilac/purple some are better flowerers than others.  In my opionion the main reason for growing them en masse is the different leaf colours and textures. 'June' changes leaf colour through the season as do others. There is one I grew years ago I loved if name comes to me I will post. Just remembered it to me Frances Williams with crinkly leaves and lilac flowers. An old variety.

  By different colours flowers, I guess you mean not all on the same plant.  Most hosta come in white flowersc or a mauvy white. Ventricosa comes in a deeper purple, with dark green leaves.  Quite different, quite large, and being a species, come true from seed.
