St Johns Wort Care

Hi!

New gardener here, just looking for some advice on our St Johns Wort (see picture).

We moved into this house last summer (so missed the spring) and this plant was in full yellow bloom.

Should I be doing anything to it this year to make sure it blooms as nice as last year? I was thinking it looks a bit tired/dried out, but not sure if that’s normal?

Any tips welcome - thanks!

I’ve just pruned mine right down.

Yes that is what it needs a new start.

Thanks for the advice! How much should I cut it back? I don’t want to kill it by accident :)

Mine are down to about 4” from the ground.
