I've grown these since I got into gardening and they're a winner in pots for sure.

I keep meaning to get some sort of permanent display sorted with them and geranium Rozanne in the same container- Rozanne is just starting to come into leaf just as the daff flowers are going over.

You might need plenty of room, the Rozannes do tend to spread very wide.

Like @bédé said, you'll only get single heads next year, but they'll still look good.

As far as dwarf daffs go, I've really liked Minnow this year, perfect for small pots and going strong right now just as my tete-a-tete are going over.

If you started out with a small rozanne and lots of daffs initially would they not effectively meld into one over time?

Would there be much of an issue with that?

I don't see the problem. Your daffs will be over and done with by the time rozanne gets to any appreciable size. Then you'd chop it back anyway before the next daff season.

Yes that was my thinking as the timings are near perfect.

My Rozannes (in the ground) last year were about half a metre high and a metre wide. They sprawl all over the place, that's why I said you will need space if they are in a pot.
Be interested to know how you get on.

I agree the daff bulbs in the bottom won't be a problem

I've had a potted one for about 3 years now I think. Actually found it better in one compared to being in the ground.

A pot will help to restrict the growth of any perennial.
Over time, you may need to lift and divide the geranium. Not one I grow as I really dislike it, but dividing keeps the vigour of perennials, whether in the ground or potted.
The daffs will be fine in with it though, and as you'd need to feed them a bit as they die back, that will encourage extra growth with the geranium too  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I'm so embarrassed, found out this morning that my so-called double headed yellow/white daffodil is in fact two separate bulbs on closer inspection so sorry for my mistake folks.
