anemone de caen

I bought some anemone (de caen) bulbs/tubers/seeds, whatever they are! The pack says plant March-June, but after reading more online I'm thinking that seems incorrect? Should they already be flowering?
Is it still worth planting them? I was planning on doing it tomorrow in a large planter.

  • My understanding is you can plant them pretty much year round and the flowering will be accordingly staggered in their first year. I planted some in January and I first spotted the leaves appearing at the end of March. I've also planted some earlier this month to flower a bit later. That's all theory though, whether it will work out that way in practice, who knows!

  • The first year I planted them in late March and they flowered in June. This year they’re flowering now.
