small flowering tree ID please

Hi there!
During a walk this sunny & warm Spring afternoon, I spied with my little eye a small tree with lovely flowers, entangled in a hedge of Virburnum. Flowers approx. 25mm in diametre.
ID apps I've consulted identify it as either crab apple or quince.
What do you think? I can go back and get more details if needed.

I would say that’s a quince. My grandmother has a huge quince tree when I was a child and they are still my favourite fruits. I might be mistaken with the id though.

I would say quince too, the leaves characteristically hang down like a skirt below the blossoms and the latter are slightly larger than those of crab apple.

    Cydonia oblonga...the true Quince tree.,
Fab flowers are always solitary at the end of the branches.

We have 2 quinces in our garden and the flowers are lovely this time of the year. The fruit is amazing and I make many different things from the fragrant fruit..... including wine, jams, spiced quinces etc. A great tree and much ignored.
