Tree identification

Can anyone help identify this tree please? It’s deciduous and was in the garden when we moved in. Just noticed these flowers/seeds on it this morning? Never seen them before and have tried scrolling the internet and identification apps but to no avail 🙃

Looks like the developing flowers of Acer negundo .
  • That’s it!!! Thank you so much! I’ve been trying to identify this tree for years! I even bought a Collins tree book but acer was not on my radar at all! I have 3 acers in my garden that I planted from very young plants and I just never put 2 and 2 together and realized the similarities in the leaves!  I was also looking at British native varieties of beech and birch and whatnot. Mystery solved! Thank you again, you’ve made my day! 😃
