acer/maple inflorescence:

I can't find the original discusssion but here is my Norway maple, and its dropped infloesecence.  It might be birdss pecking.




 location: Surrey Hills, England, ex-woodland acidic sand.

    There a lots of these trees on the fields where I walk with my dog.
    The ground beneath is smothered with inflorescence.
    I was guessing it was recent windy weather that caused it - way too much from pecking birds.

    you should see under my crab apple after the bullfinch has visited.
