Cucurbits - what are you growing?

Today, I sowed cucumber Carmen, courgettes Tondo and Tarmino.
They're snug in plugs in heated trays in the greenhouse.
I've fancied trying melons, but have never tried them before.
As they're such a big family (hello loofahs) what are you growing?

I've still got some Loofahs from plants I grew 10 years ago.  Cleaned/cured properly they can  be stored until needed.  Nice to chat to an old friend when you are in the shower  :)

I have sown Courgette de Nice (round), Crown Prince and Grise de Marais Vendéen.  So far 3 Nice and one each ot the others have germinated.

Today at the plant fair organised by my gardening club, I bought small plantlets of Utchiki Kuri, a Lemon Cucumber, a Hungarian Blue squash and a courgette Goldrush.   I might buy an ordinary cucumber plant if I see one but that's my limit for this year.

I've given up growing butternut sqaush as even here with all the lovely sun, their flavour is not as good as shop bought, despite being well fed and watered.   I made a mistake last year and only grew green courgettes - too easy to miss a fruit or two when picking and then find they've turned into Zeppelins next time I look.
