Obelisk climber
in Plants
Hi, I'm looking to plant a jasmine up a metal obelisk in a large container and would like some advice please on whether to plant it inside or outside the structure and whether to initially train it horizontally or just tie it in vertically as it grows?
Cheers

I'm not sure they're very suited to obelisks - most of them want to become very large plants, and most obelisks are rarely bigger than about 6 feet.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Fragrant Evergreen Star Jasmin -Trachelospermum jasminoides
It's to be either side of a courtyard gate so wanted something evergreen & fragrant.I don't grow it as it doesn't thrive here - they aren't full hardy everywhere, so it'll also depend whereabouts you're located as to whether it'll survive
