Repurposing a pasta pot.

This was the only pot that wouldn't  work on my new induction  hob. Unfortunately,  it was the one I used for practically  everything.
Apart from the obvious for the base, has anyone  any ideas what I could do with either or both parts in the garden?
I would mention to anyone  interested,  old frying pans and woks make great container/ large pot saucers with a nifty handle for turning plants to catch the light

PS it's  deeper than it looks 8n photo

Would make a great self watering system, thread a few wicks down to the lower pan that's filled with water and plant up the top one with wicks leading up the soil.

I was thinking along the same lines Jenny.

You could also use the top part for things that like very free drainage such as sempervivums.

Basil would be appropriate, I suppose, but I'm not all that keen on it 😊

It's similar, being also kind of aniseedy but its foliage is more feathery and enjoys shade rather than full sun.
