Dahlia problems! Advice required

Hi all,

I potted up my dahlia tubers last month and they have grown well indoors. I am now putting them outside in the day in preparation for when they go outside fully in a few weeks. However, two of my dahlias are looking a little off and I’m not sure why. The first one has leaves that are looking very slightly mottled (first two photos). The second one has leaves which are going a bit black around the edges (last three photos). Anyone have any ideas about what is going on? I would really appreciate it!

Can’t help I’m afraid but just wanted to say well done on getting them this far. Mine are stubbornly sitting in the greenhouse refusing to sprout.

Have they been repotted into a better medium? They look as if they're lacking nutrition.
Dahlias are hungry plants once they get going.  :)

Too cold in my greenhouse to get them started,  I always keep them indoors until they’re quite big plants.

@lamnicrose  I agree with fairly girl , they just need more nutrition now,  you may find they’ve fill those pots with roots.

  • The black tips could just be a bit of weather damage from being outside and in the other image the pot looks a bit small, so as mentioned, may be lacking nutrients and benefit from potting on. Otherwise they look good, and way ahead of mine, some have just started to poke through others are still lifeless.
