One could interpret it as "**** off Hitler" or similar. That's what I saw, anyway.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
  • In the USA it is "V" FOR VICTORY.

pansyface given rude and abusive posts by the locals
recently I do not care how they react. If they think
I am suggesting something vulgar that's on them not me.
given the  forum is international they need to adapt too.
One of my teachers said just because a word starts with
"f" and ends with "uck". it is not vulgar if the word is "firetruck"

There's enough people looking for something to be offended by without us starting here. It's a historical poster much as the gesture is, and the gesture also was for victory in the first place.

Interesting. What does canning mean, then, here? Assuming you don't have your own tin works in your domestic set-up. Does canning include putting things in bottles, too?  (I seldom cook, don't grow food as a rule-  sorry about the stupid question.)
  • WAMS canning in that context also meant bottling.
