I looked on the RHS website and agree that it does look like Euronymus microphyllus Albovariegatus which only grows up to maybe a one metre so relatively small. Still don't know where to put it though.
Thanks also for pointing out the green shoots as well, I only saw them when I popped out to photo the plant so well spotted.
@JennyJ - ha ha ha. I didn't think that at all. It just makes me laugh how I think I remember loads of plant names but can never recognise them in photos. Just had a lesson in not writing on forums whilst taking dog out in garden. Missed stepping in a nice fresh poo by millimetres 🤣.
