Weed Identification

Does anyone know what this weed is? It has white tap roots. And what is the best way to get rid of it?

    It looks a bit like Liatris? Leave it and see what comes up maybe.

    They look like lilies to me
    Not a weed anyway.

    Those look a lot like Fritillaria imperialis or something like that. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Agree, definitely not a weed, Foxtail Lily perhaps, looks a bit like mine.

    I would say Lily.  But 'white tap roots' would mean one of the other posts is nearer correct.  Lilaceae family would probably cover it.
