Flower bed help

Chichi_7Chichi_7 Posts: 28
Hi all

I’m designing flower beds and wanted some advice. I love the look of romantic cottage vibes and I have a flower bed to fill. I need some taller recommendations that are preferably not toxic to dogs which come back each year.

I’d also like evergreen recommendations.

At the minute I have a cherry tree in the middle which needs to stay. Then these which are movable: a peony (I know this is toxic for dogs but found out after buying it so I’m being careful) and 4 armerias for along the border.

Thanks!

Rainy pic but this is it at the minute, there’s no base to the raised bed, it’s about 3.5m long, I’m not sure on the width but in hindsight I wish I’d have made it wider. It also is in a sunny spot.

I would like a mix of pink and white flowers and evergreens. I’d also like more height and texture to make it look full eventually.

Some hollyhocks at the back would give a bit of height, and you can choose the colour. A rose might be nice, and shrubby salvias are available in shades of pink and white. Maybe some penstemon too?  :)

Gaura 'Whirling Butterflies' if you can get it to grow well would add some frothy height.
