Are these sycamore seedlings?

    They aren't Ash, it's much too early for them. Most likely Sycamore. We're inundated with them too, but I'm going to grow them on and plant some as we have the space and lack of trees.
    I'd thought we had so many because as the tree was shedding them the wind turned around and came from the North and West blowing them all over the house and yard which it doesn't usually. They actually blocked the downpipe and drain gulley twice over Winter there were so many.
  • We have both ash and sycamore in garden so I’ve had a good look under both. Some under ash tree but loads under sycamore so yes pretty sure they are sycamore

    @MikeOxgreen  Sorry but not too early for Ash seeds dropped last year  They are now beginning to show themselves here ( SW ) as they do every year around this time.

    Ours are Norwegian Maple seedlings from a very large tree at the top of the garden.
    We usually get quite a lot of seedlings but this year, they are everywhere.
