I'm intruiged, on the grass verge outside our boundary I planted two clumps of wild primroses from my garden, one is the standard yellow, the other a few feet away is much paler, almost white. Presumably this is just a natural variation.sorry, ignore the last photo, wrong button!
@Lizzie27 Yes I think you could be right they can vary in colour slightly.
@Silver surfer The plants I treasure the most are those I have swapped or purchased locally to me. I have also been given special plants by people I have worked for in the past. SRGS and HPS are great places to swap and nothing makes a gardener happier than a very special plant to grow.
I recall growing Primula Miss Indigo a very long time ago it was a deep purple double with a silver edge to the petal. I am not a fan of doubles but I think they almost disappeared from cultivation at one point they were cloned I think. Today there are lots of different one's.
When we first moved here 30 years ago primulas were happy but now the garden is much too dry in summer. Lifting and splitting after flowering was no longer successful and they struggled sadly.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
There's a house quite near me which has a whole border of white primulas. Lovely. I never see the owners, but if I did, I might be tempted to ask then for a little clump

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
@Fairygirl@Silver surfer Is Gigha part of the Outer Hebrides? It looks a beautiful. My bro is going with his job I think next week. Not sure he will be anywhere near. Sometimes he goes to recce places as well as work.

Thankyou both I had found a map showing Kintyre but could get no further. Geography not my best subject. Phil thinks Scotland is the best place in the world both to visit and for photography.

Thanks for that tip to delete photos @Fairygirl, thought there should be some way of doing it but not sure how to do that on my phone. (Sorry, knowledge on techie bits not great!) I read and post mainly on my laptop but take photos on my phone so have to post those and text using the phone if that makes sense. I'm a bit all fingers so frequently hit the wrong button in error.
