Dying Bay Tree
I had 3 beautiful Bay Trees in my garden - this winter they have all turned brown and look like they are dying. I’ve cut into the tree to check and it seems alive so it might just need to shed and re grow. The question I have is should I cut the trees back or leave them to shed on their own?
Also some people have suggested Bay like Seaweed for food - should I give this to them while in this state?
Thanks!

The leaves will take ages to fall off. Decide how far you need to trim back and do it with an electric hedge cutter, or at least a sharp pair of shears. Be radical. If have just done that to one of my mopheads that had been touched. At least it now looks tidy and the new growth will get some light.
Have the stems been damaged? That would be more serious.
