I wouldn't do anything to it just now. New growth may also appear further up. You can prune it later in the year if nothing comes away higher up. Remember that they flower on the old wood, so it's likely that you'll get some growth - just a bit later than normal.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
