A south east facing white wall. What can I do with it
Hello,
As the subject says, in my patio , one side is a white rendered wall. This is basically the back of my neighbours shed. Its very bright and difficult to look at in summer. I always planned to do something once i have time.
I was hoping I can get some climbers going bit its a good 4 meter by 2 meter canvas and I am not sure if i can get that covered in pots as I have no earth to plan directly. I have attached a picture showing the wall and also how it is in relation to rest of garden
What are the recommendations for covering this wall. I do not want plastic fence so need real plant or vines etc.
Thanks

I had a similar situation here, where the neighbour's garage forms part of my boundary. I added some more fence, just to the inside of it, and a very tiny raised bed which has an alpina clematis in it. It covers the whole area which is around 6 or 7 feet in length and around 6 feet in height. You could do the same sort of thing - three posts and a raised bed to the inside of the wall
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
But I wanted to have some sort of green/colourful foliage etc. Reason I have white wall is because of how rest of house and colors.
I have seen some nice ones of quite large proportions, and some have castors on the base so they can also be moved. Those tend to have a lockable castor or two on them.
There are various brands and sizes available.
I typed "Large planter trellis attached" into a search engine and it came up with a bewildering array.
This might a winner, low cost solution. I can tie the wires to existing fence panel and on right side , there is a wooden fence too .
Can the grape vine and other one be planted in pots, one each side?
