This has grown from the base of another tree and i wondered if anyone knows what it would be?
Do you know the name of that "other tree"? This is a mostly UK based forum with members from other countries as well, but I doubt that there are members from North Africa (Lybia more specifically).
@Marwaneldallal Is it actually growing off the tree? Could it be a sucker or something to do with the root stock. I don't know what the tree it is but it could it be taking the strength out of the tree? Are these leaves different to the actual tree? I have looked back at some of your posts and it is great to see what you can grow.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
A agree that the background leaves look like a Loquat tree. The one with the pale leaves looks a Quince, Cydonia Oblonga. Could it be a sucker from a nearby tree or shrub that's grown into a thicket?
The main tree looks rather like a Loquat. Loquats bear flowers and fruit in sunny countries.
Yes thats right…though one year it bore fruit and the year after it didnt…i was expecting it to fruit as its much bigger than it was when it first produced fruit.
