Nigella seedlings?

    I don't think so, my Nigella leaves were more divided than that.

    I don't think so either I'm afraid.
    I've got lots popping up in the borders - the foliage is much finer.

    Once you sow some they drop seed readily so you'll have them pop up every year.
    I have lots and only bought seed about 10 years ago.

    I do get something that looks similar to your plant which I think is a weed.
    I left it one year to see what would happen - it just produced a few tiny pink flowers, so I remove them now when I see them.
    You could keep it and see what it turns into..

    I'd hang fire a little to see if it flower before putting it in the compost.

    It certainly isn't nigella, as the others have said, but it has a slight look of buttercup....
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Not buttercup,  looks a bit like broad leaf parsley,  but I think they know that by the smell.

    Chervil? Cow Parsley? It looks so familiar I should know, but I don't.

    Could be Pyrethrum (Tanacetum)
