Just a quick question, should I grow these on in pots for a while before planting or can they go straight in the ground? If the former, should I pop them into a bigger pot from now?
I'd pot those on if they were mine, as long as they actually needed it- ie the roots are filling the pot. If not, leave them for a while. I wouldn't plant out anything that size unless I'd had it all winter and it was well used to my conditions, and filling the pot. Having said that - they're very attractive to slugs, so it's always worth growing them on for a while to ensure they're bigger and better able to withstand that, and plant out in a couple of months.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
