seed bombs

A friend has given me six pellets with no provenance nor list of seeds' names. It comes from a shop called Butlers (not sure of its presence in the UK) which is not a garden shop but sells all sorts of tat, some even pretty.

My instinct is to go for a white lie to my very dear, but clueless friend. My question to you is: how do I dispose of them?

Butler’s looks like a reasonable company and I would be completely confident the seed bombs are what they claim to be. Thus put the cardboard wrapping in the recycling bin and lob the ‘bombs’ on to waste ground or into a hedgerow. They’re not very likely to germinate. If you have qualms about that, put them in the household waste bin. And if you’re still anxious, put them first in the oven for a good while next time you’re cooking something.

I wouldn't let unknown plants loose into the countryside but I might grow them and see what I get. It's easier to dispose of a plant than a seed which could germinate in landfill. If you take plants out of the ground they die

Thank you @BenCotto and @nutcutlet. This is the thing and the wrapping around it says nothing. I will cook them I think. My pots are full 😄

I would sow them in a seed tray then you can identify what they are when they get their leaves.
Aren’t we supposed to be encouraged to sow wild flower seeds now.

true but some of the bombs are not wild in the country they are sold in.

That’s why I said I would sow them in a seed tray and identify them.
