Weed? ID please.

I'm sure this question pops up periodically but could anyone tell me what this horrible persistent thing is please?

    I think that’s a Goat Willow,  absolute PITA,  the tap root goes down as deep as the top growth,  I remove them with full strength SBK (not diluted)

    Please can we have more clear pics.
    Leaves look too smooth and shiny to be Salix caprea...common name goat willow.

    It looks like the cherry plum suckers I was pulling out today.

    I've got one, it's just coming into leaf now and looks exactly like yours.

    The light is fading so won't be able to get more photos until tomorrow but do have a tap root and indeed are a PITA. Ha ha.

    It looks like prunus suckers, used to get them in my old garden. Could never get them out, cut them off instead.
    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
