Can these be saved?

Hello, I wonder if anyone can help me know what to do with my eucalyptus and conifer.

The eucalyptus was thriving last summer. But I have noticed its really not looking well now. The leaves have lost their lovely green colour and some are falling off. Is there any saving it? It's in well drained soil. Is it just like this due to a harsh winter? Any advice how to help it as I absolutely love it.

Secondly the conifer is also looking worse for wear. Can this be saved?

Thanks in advance!!

    the conifer won't recover
It might be worth cutting the Eucalyptus right back, it might shoot from the base. It's been a hard few months for plants

Could you post pictures of the base of the eucalyptus. I have one, the leaves turn pinkish and drop off all year. I wouldn't bother with the conifer,it will look horrible if you remove the brown dead leaves. I don't know where you are situated,we had a very hot dry summer last year.

With the conifer - if you're in one of those drought ridden areas, the damage will have been done during those dry spells. They're shallow rooted shrubs, so although they can cope with dry conditions once established, they have their limits.
I don't think the eucalyptus will recover, but cutting it back and crossing your fingers is probably all you can do. Might be best to leave it until temps are warmer before doing it though. Depends where you live, and whether you get colder conditions this month as we often do here.
I've seen some horrific ones in a house near me. No idea whether they'll recover but it would probably be a blessing in disguise if they didn't, as there's three of them in a raised, narrow, sleeper bed, right in front of their windows.  :|
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Thanks everyone. I'm not bothered about the conifer and it actually was on my list to do something with!

A few more photos of the eucalyptus. I don't know if cutting it will help but I think that's all I can do really.
