Close encounters of the 'bird kind'

I was bending down low, weeding in the garden when I heard a terrible 'squawking ' like birds fighting in a hedge to my right. I stood up to see where the noise was coming from and suddenly became face to face with a Sparrow Hawk with full wing span staring at me with big yellow eyes. I do not know who was more scared the hawk or me as we were both shocked. It must say it was pretty awesome getting such a close up of the hawk! The little bird that was being preyed on (some sort of tit) lived to see another day.
