  • This has recently happened to mine. I was struggling to find the part which matched my serial number (3600hb9673). So ended up taking a punt on the one for the Rotak 750. Fortunately it fitted and all is working again. Below is a link to the one I bought.

Taking the top of the mower is a little bit tricky. There are four screws and then you need to gently pry off a couple of clips between the plastic cover and the chassis. I started by unhooking the grass box flap and then slowly working my way around the edge.

Replacing the button was simple. You then just push the cover back on and screw it up. Good as new.

fixed the button, it was cracked in two pieces, i repaired it with two part epoxy resin, its a delicate part and should be made of metal, i also used hot glue on the inside of the button to reinforce, works perfectly now, thanks all for help.
  • I have the same broken height ajustment button problem, I just received the replacement part and would ask if you can help with how i need to install?
I have taken the top off and cant figure out whow to do the rest

any help would be greatly appreciated

  • Same issue. Beats me why Bosch make such poor quality products. In removing the cover I discovered an underpinning design that would look average on a kids toy. How the rear axle (if we may can it that) stays in place is a possibly just a fluke. Not even bothering to repair the switch. Bosch make junk look good

Not only Bosch. Something as simple as a wood screw no longer lasts as it used to.

I put up a garden fence twenty years ago and the screws that I used then are still in good condition.

In places where the wood failed I replaced it using modern screws. Many of these are showing signs of rust and are beginning to crack and shear off after only two or three years.

I am about to buy a new lawn mower. This Bosch Rotak 650 was top of my list. Spoke to a friend yesterday who has one, exactly the same problem.
My lawn is flat and small andI also have a small area of lawn to the side of the house so need a cordless. Any ideas on what to buy avoiding the really expensive ones please?
