Hyacinths

Hi everybody,

I'm very much new to the gardening world, and this is my first post on here.

Please could somebody offer advice on caring for a hyacinth plant that I was gifted. It's so beautiful and scented, but in a pot with 3 bulbs. How do I care for it indoors and when can it be planted outdoors?

Many thanks,

Max

Water and light. Cut off the old flowering stem when finished and plant in the garden when you have done that. Plant with the top of the bulbs about 2 inches below soil level. Leave them together so that the roots are not damaged. Feed with a liquid feed if your soil is poor.

Keep it out of direct sun and enjoy the flowers . When they are finished flowering you can put them in the garden ,but they only bloom once ,so you will have to wait till next spring to see them bloom again . When you plant them ,put them in leaves attached and make sure the bulb is covered with soil .
