Help! Invasive plant/weed ID (photos attached)

NoryNory Posts: 7
We had a plant in our raised bed which we originally thought was a raspberry, but it's never had fruit on it since we moved in two years ago, it grew to about 5ft tall and it appeared to be spreading. So towards the end of last year we dug it up and pulled out a large root system, but now there are shoots appearing in the lawn...

Any ideas on what this plant/weed is and how to remove it?

Looks like a raspberry. Don't know why it hasn't fruited. They do spread sideways and can end up where you don't want them.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

It looks like a raspberry to me too. They do spread quite a lot. Maybe dig some out the lawn and plant them up?

    Raspberry

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • Mine are at the bottom of the garden but I've no idea how they got to the front.

Thanks everyone, I'll keep pulling up the shoots as they appear and hopefully eventually they'll stop!

My raspberry moves itself around the bed every year. 😄
