Can anyone identify this plant?

Hi can anyone identify the plant shown in the photo? It looks like an acacia dealbata except some of the leaves are completely different as you can see. The different leaves tend to be at the top of the plant. I used to have a mature acacia dealbata but it blew down about 25 years ago - I don’t know if seeds would last that long in the soil? I also bought a plant from a nursery which sells acacia retinoides

so I suppose it’s possible a seed was transported into my garden from the nursery.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

We concluded that acacia can have different mature and juvenile foliage on the same plant.

Thanks Jenny, I thought that might be the case but I couldn’t find confirmation anywhere.
