    I used to have 3 TJ's for many years.
    One was on a east-facing wall and really thrived.
    The other 2 were on an arch in my front (north-facing) garden.
    They would often suffer somewhat after a cold winter, but always came back well.
    On several occasions they looked a lot worse than yours, so yours may well be fine.

    You grow Tracho, jas. for a reason.  Probably the scent and its being evergreen.  Stick to your guns, it will survive, but if not, start with another.

    I give a failed plant two goes (even 3 if I'm fond of it.)
