Help! My poor Monstera ..

New baby leaf is very distressed. I think the things I picked off the rest of the plant might have been thrips. Is that the cause of the poor leaf's distress?

    To me that looks more like it's had some physical damage before it started unfurling. Maybe it got touched during the bug removal process. New leaves can be very delicate and easily damaged.

    Thanks @JennyJ, that makes sense. It was in contact with an aerial root there for a bit. It's a tiny leaf compared to the rest, so I guess that "vine" will only have tiny leaves from now on?
